Bondi Road

Bondi Road is the major artery connecting beach and junction, with a rich past and a present that is rapidly evolving as longstanding businesses sell up or close and new generations of residents move into the area. This project - undertaken in early 2015 - asked business owners: what do you do in your daily work? How did you come to be here, doing that work? What changes do you see? What are your concerns? We spoke to other people too - the mayor; longtime residents, an architect, a priest ... And some people just sent us their recollections (see 'other people's stories', below).  It’s not over yet: contributions to the project are welcome – just go to the contact page and send us a message.
